TPS isn’t dead… Yet

A lawsuit was immediately filed when the government began terminating TPS for most of the countries that warranted it. I agree with the government in the sense that TPS was meant to be a stop-gap, temporary measure. After all its called “Temporary Protected Status.” In a world where the violence and conditions, that drove people to come to the US seeking refuge, has only intensified, pulling the rug out from under hundreds of thousands of people is inhumane. Much of these current issues could be resolved with some form of comprehensive immigration reform that would allow for an orderly and attainable method to gaining status.
